We can solve rust problems with factory installed ITF filters in the PST, BF5, BF10, BF15 and BF30. The silver coating used in the original ITF filter to block the infrared light unfortunately degrades from the edge to the middle over the years, so a replacement is necessary. The replacement filter we use is age-resistant and at least equivalent in terms of imaging performance to the original. The correct and eye-safe operation is guaranteed, and we use the Sun to test every solar telescope after the filter has been replaced.
