Some celestial objects, as the planet Venus, when observed or photographed in visible light show no details, even with large diameter telescopes or with special optics. On the other hand, in the ultraviolet band Venus shows the details of its cloud formations. Our UV Pass Filter removes visible wavelength allowing to pass only the ultraviolet in order to allow you to take great pictures of Venus clouds.
This filter is not suitable for visual use.
The filters are available in two diameters: 31.8mm and 50.8mm. These standards are commonly used by telescopes and their accessories. For example, depending on their function, they can be used with a CCD ora A DSLR camera (using appropriate photo adapters), but also screwed to optical accessories such as eyepieces or diagonals.
