The new OMEGON 10x42 binoculars with roof prisms are a reliable companion for hiking and birdwatching tours, as well as on the water. A compact and powerful set of binoculars for nature observation.
Those are precisely the advantages of the Omegon 10x42 binoculars with roof prisms; their optics and mechanical structure are both in the upper range of their class.
Due to their shape, they perfectly fit in your hands and the rubber armouring provides a firm grip. During observation, the central focusing wheel can be easily operated with just one finger.
It takes no more than half a turn of the wheel to change focus from near to infinite, so you don't get into irritating trial and error focusing.
The Omegon 10x42 provide a comfortable viewing posture. They come with twist-up eyecups[css] which lock into place, so as to avoid any accidental eyecup retracting during observation.
Optical features
This set of binoculars offers a wide field of view and excellent sharpness across the field. Objective lenses and eyepieces are multi-coated to reduce light reflection. Lens tubes are internally matte blackened, which contributes to further eliminating any reflections that would result in poor contrast and affect observation.
Features in short:
-Comfortable viewing posture
-Twist-up eyecups
-Good overall sharpness
-Multi-coating
-Compact size, but none the less high light transmission
-Good colour correction
-True image reproduction
These Black Star binoculars provide comfortable eye relief via screw-up eyecups. These feature a click-lock function to prevent them being accidentally pushed back in during observing

We put this series of binoculars to the same set of comparative tests carried out on the Corvette Bresser, the Bushnell H2O and another Chinese competitor of the same range. In terms of sharpness along the optical axis, reflection, overall sharpness, field size and viewing posture, the Omegon got good marks and, compared with their competitors, they would earn a grade A.If you look for a fine set of binoculars in the medium quality range, this is the right choice for you. However, we recommend that spectacle wearers use it without their spectacles. Any visual disorder (short or long-sightedness) can be compensated on the binoculars. The 8x42 are all-round performing binoculars which allow you to observe not only at daylight but also at dusk. With a 5.25 mm luminous beam hitting the eye, you still get bright images even at dusk.
