Leica's latest binoculars: the Ultravid HD Plus!
This evolution of the classic has plenty to offer. Thanks to a complete reworking of the optics, Leica has managed to increase transmission by as much as 5%. How was this achieved?
- A new glass that lets more light pass through: SCHOTT HT glass for observing in twilight
- High performance: improved light transmission, especially in the blue and violet spectrum - brighter image, better colour reproduction and a broad contrast spectrum.
- New optical coating: plasma coating for improved light transmission
- Robust: magnesium and titanium, coated in a rubber armouring.
- Wind and weather resistant: waterproof and nitrogen-purged, these binoculars can withstand the hardest rain and high humidity. Thanks to the AquaDura coating, dirt is easily removed and water droplets roll off.
- Compact and lightweight: with one of the most compact binoculars in its class!
- Design: the Ultravid HD Plus is instantly recognisable thanks to its classic styling and its red logo.
Leica Ultravid 42 HD-Plus binoculars
Models from the 42 HD-Plus series are almost as handy as the 32 series and are designed for comfortable and ergonomic handling. The binoculars have slip-proof grips. They are almost as 'fast' as the larger 50-series models, and the new coating technology and special HT glass from Schott guarantee higher light transmission. The image is brighter and the level of contrast is greater. Despite their compactness, these binoculars have more than ample 'light reserves' for poor viewing conditions.
Leica Ultravid 42 HD-Plus binoculars are available with magnifications of 7X, 8X and 10X.
